Live Reviews
Trace Adkins live!
When a guy is 6 feet 6 inches, it doesn’t take much to make a grand entrance. All of Trace Adkins, cowboy boots and black hat, burst through a couple of barn doors July 20th at the Rialto Square Theater, bowed to the crowd, and started telling stories.
Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival pics!
Slipknot, Slayer, Motorhead, Anthrax, As I Lay Dying, Whitechapel, and more swarmed (like locusts) down on First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on July 21st, and IE was there with a camera.

The ’80s were revived last Thursday night, as two of the decadeās premiere arena bands invaded Allstate Arena on the āRock Of Agesā tour. Pitchfork recap!
āHipsters/Unite/Come align for the big fight to rock.ā Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins wrote that line back in 1991 as a slag to those in the music scene who took a more āindie than thouā attitude toward his music. Well, today it would perfectly apply to those attending the Pitchfork Music Festival.
Kevin Costner & Modern West live!
Everyone has a “B” side. From the pitcher whose’s curve doesn’t anymore, to the rapper who felt he could act. It could be a side gig or finding a long lost passion. Maybe it’s life’s Act 2? Kevin Costner, yeah the actor’s “B” side is the frontman for the country band Modern West.

Nothing but Ed Spinelli’s photographs of the princess of rock ‘n’ roll — a title we’re sure she loaths. She managed the Bottom Lounge on the 20th with ease.
