Photo Gallery: Lollapalooza 2019 Day One

Day One of Lollapalooza brought near perfect weather to Grant Park and thin crowds in the opening hours, quickly filled in to near capacity status mid-day. Evidently some people had to work, but they arrived after lunch. The days highlights included SRO field level crowds in the T-Mobile Stage bowl for Irish songwriter/activist Hozier, some mean pyro and sing-alongs from the band you love to hate – The Chainsmokers. And Fitz and The Tantrums brought the appreciative, fun loving set to the weekend’s most age diverse crowd (Slash was a close second on closing day). The Strokes also brought the love in their closing set. Curt Baran did the marathon photo set including Jackie Foster, Beach Bunny, Emily King , Lennon Stella, Hozier, King Princess and The Strokes.
