The Damned

Ready for the spookiest part of the year? Boots celebrates Halloween with two nights of thrills and chills at Radius. This year’s performers include Pixel Grip (DJ Set), COBRAH (Gag Ball Set), Shuan J. Wright, Kirk, BKHQ, and more. The party runs from Friday, October 30, through Saturday, October 31. You won’t want to miss this, so get your tickets here.

Employing a dazzling mix of glam rock, hard rock, and progressive rock, their outrageous, white-satin-heavy image and equally over-the-top stage shows made Angel one of the more colorful arena rock bands of the mid-’70s and early ’80s. Kiss bassist Gene Simmons discovered the group, and they released their eponymous debut album in 1975, which leaned closer to prog rock than the glam pop that would inform later albums like On Earth as It Is in Heaven (1977) and Sinful (1979). The group split in 1981, but reformed in the late ’90s with a new lineup and released two studio albums (1999’s In the Beginning and 2019’s Risen), plus numerous compilations. They’re on a farewell tour coming to the Arcada Theatre on Friday, October 30.

Want to spend Halloween doing something ghoulish? You’re in luck because legendary punk rockers The Damned are coming to town as part of their “Final Damnation 50 tour.” It promises a frightful night as the band celebrates five decades of fiendish tricks and treats. Joined by special guest Flamin’ Grooves, the tour rolls up to Concord Music Hall on Halloween night (October 31). Get tickets here.

The most buzzworthy band of the past 2 years, Geese, is still riding high off their critically acclaimed fourth album, Getting Killed. The band will bring their art rock, experimental, indie noise to Salt Shed as part of their ongoing “Getting Killed Again Tour.” The two-night stint starts on Halloween (October 31) and runs through Sunday, November 1. You can still find tickets here.

Seminal riot grrrl band L7 are hitting the road one more time before they say sayonara. After 40 years of being unapologetically loud and in your face, the band is ready to go out with a bang. Their “Last Hurrah Tour” with NOBRO hits the Vic Theatre this Sunday, November 1. Tickets are available here.
