The Strokes

Our favorite New York City (home of the NBA world champion Knicks) rock band is finally back. The Strokes are returning with their first new album in six years, Reality Awaits. Though we have to wait a little longer for the new record, the band will bring the highly anticipated “Reality Awaits” tour to the United Center on Wednesday, June 17th. Special guests are Thundercat and Hamilton Leithauser. Grab tickets here while you still can.

Still need plans for the three-day weekend? Head on over to the Taste of Randolph for delicious food, great music, and good vibes. Now in its 29th year, the free street festival is a West Loop tradition. Soundtracking this year’s festival are Joyce Manor, Ryan Perez, The Happy Fits, Naked Brunch, Matt Maeson, Night Moves, Jakobs Castle, OK Cool, and more. The party kicks off Friday, June 19th, and wraps up Sunday, June 21st. Get all the details here.

Cap off your Pride celebration with the return of Chicago Pride Fest! The 25th edition of the Out and Proud Festival will feature three stages of live music, drag performance, food, and more. This year’s music lineup includes Alex Chapman, Zoe Glitter, Anthony Rapp, G Flip, Willa Ford, Khloe Park, Firebrand, Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, and more. It all goes down in the city’s Northalsted neighborhood on June 20th – 21st. Get all the details here.

Need to shake up your Monday? Kick off the week with a free performance from the legendary Sheila E. Join the “Queen of Percussion” as she runs through hits like “Glamours Life,” “The Belle of St. Mark,” “Shortberry Strawcake,” and more. Joined by Melody Angel and DJ Larz Natural, the performance takes place in Millennium Park on Monday, June 22nd. Get the details here.
