IE’s Ed Spinelli spent the day at Farm Aid 2023 perched in the photo pit on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Noblesville, Indiana. The sold-out crowd of more than 22,000 people showed great enthusiasm for the event; the all-star cast was buoyed by Bob Dylan and Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers rolling through some of his classic ’60s catalog. Unfortunately, we were unable to show those photos (and Willie Nelson) because of PR restrictions. As always, Farm Aid (a non-profit organization) proceeds benefit family farmers. The organization’s annual concerts have been hosted in mostly rural locations since the first Farm Aid event in Champaign in 1985.
