The music of Fleet Foxes is perfectly suited for smoldering summer nights. So when they made their debut at Chicago’s newest venue (The Salt Shed), it felt as though the planets had aligned. Their brand of folky, melodic storytelling proved to be a fitting soundtrack for a packed crowd at an outdoor venue that was finally taking itself out for a test drive. When completed, the compound will boast both indoor and outdoor spaces. But for now, attendees seemed more than happy to enjoy the new space with the promise of endless summer evenings for a long time to come.
