In advance of their fifth album, Ash & Ice the apparently impatient The Kills, have hit the road to support said release (due out June 3rd). The duo, which consists of American vocalist Alison Mosshart and U.K. guitarist Jamie Hince, ducked into Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood entertaining a packed and sweaty, Monday night crowd.

Augmented with a touring band, the band played primo-cuts that spanned their career as well as a sneak peak at songs that will be included on Ash & Ice. IE’s Curt Baran waded into a crowded photo pit to capture the evening. Openers L.A. Witch got captured in his lens as well, souls still intact.
