Stage Buzz: Photo Gallery – Gerard Way @ The Vic
Gerard Way’s retirement sure didn’t last long. After mothballing his band My Chemical Romance back in 2013, it was largely assumed he was leaving music in his rearview mirror to concentrate on a bustling creative drawing career. But in late 2014, he dropped a solo recorded entitled Hesitant Alien, and a tour in support of said release brought him, and his new band The Hormones, to a sold out Vic Theater on May 16. IE ‘s Curt Baran captured the extra terrestrial happenings using earthly offerings such as glass and light stuffed into a lens. Tulsa. Oklahoma quartet Nuns helped the evening achieve liftoff.
