Music Nation Video Contestant — In Person
Music Nation is an online music-video contest for independent artists, and they’re reaching out to you by sponsoring a Thursday-night showcase at Schubas with The Silent Years. Come for the free Pabst Blue Ribbon (from 9 to 10 p.m.), stay for the chance to do something with your life.
While the contest seems wide open with nearly 700 entries in the rock category (see musicnation.com for rules and categories), The Silent Years, currently ranked 283rd, are out for a little help. Their video for “Someone To Keep Us Warm” is questing desperately to win the grand prize: a contract with Epic Records. Even now they show their humility, opening for Chicago’s The Jai Alai Savant and ultimately Brooklyn’s Tigercity. Vote!
