Stage Buzz: Lords of Acid, MATTE BLVCK, Disclosure, Flea

Industrial dance legends Lords of Acid have changed over the years, especially their lineup, but the core of the outfit remains: delivering infectious provocative songs that get you on the floor. Featuring new lead vocalist Carla Harvey, the band will bring their “Cheeky Freaky Tour” with Dead on a Sunday, Princess Superstar, MZ Neon, and Tony and The Kiki to Bottom Lounge this Wednesday, May 6th. Flea is known for laying down sick basslines for Red Hot Chili Peppers, but now, he’s flying solo and exploring another genre he loves, jazz. The bassist recently released his debut solo album, Honora, and he’s bringing it on tour. Flea and the Honora band will perform songs from their new solo album at their sold out show at Thalia Hall this Thursday, May 7th.

Electronic duo Disclosure don’t just perform. Their shows are an experience. Bringing their unbridled energy and a mix of live instrumentation with high concept, hypnotic visuals, their shows are unforgettable. The duo will perform a highly anticipated three-night stint at The Salt Shed starting Friday, May 8th through Sunday, May 10th. They’ll also do a DJ Set after their Friday show at Radius.
