Stage Buzz: Elvis Costello, Doechii, Brandy and Monica
If thereâs one artist who’s taken over the hip-hop world within the last year, itâs Doechii. Representing the Florida rap scene, her quirky style and lyrical flow made tracks like âDenial Is a Riverâ and âAnxietyâ explode in popularity. See Doecii in action when she brings her âLive from the Swamp Tourâ to Aragon Ballroom this Tuesday, October 14th. Make sure to get tickets so you donât miss
Elvis Costelloâs discography runs deep. 33 (!) studio albums and over 62 singles, not counting his collaborative albums and scores, he shows no sign of slowing down soon. But for his latest outing, Costello is taking audiences back to the early days, dusting off songs he hasnât played in decades. As youâd expect, heâs bringing his band, The Imposters, and special guest Charlie Sexton along for the ride. âRadio Soul! The Early Songs of Elvis Costello” stops by the Chicago Theater on Thursday, October 16th. Tickets are available here.
Brandy and Monica are R&B royalty. Each has a slew of chart-topping hits and best-selling albums, but the fan favorite duet âThe Boy Is Mineâ proves to be timeless. Now, the two icons are teaming up for their first-ever co-headlining tour with support from Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and Jamal Roberts. The two will make their Chicago stop at the United Center on Saturday, October 18th. Grab tickets here.
