Stage Buzz: Queens of the Stone Age, Dispatch, Halsey, Chicago Pride Parade

Queens of the Stone Age

Throughout her career, Halsey has pushed the boundaries of pop music and molded them into her own distinctive, undefinable sound. With her distinct singing style and no-holds-barred performances, she is an unapologetic pop rebel. See her in action when she brings the “For My Last Trick” tour to Huntington Bank Pavilion on Tuesday, June 17th, with special guests Sir Chloe and Flowerovlove. Tickets are available here.

There is an undeniable swagger about Queens of the Stone Age. Maybe it’s the blazing riffs and catchy hooks. Or maybe it’s frontman Josh Homme’s crooning vocals; there’s a reason he’s known as the Red Headed Elvis. Whatever it is, you can experience it live this weekend as the band brings the previously postponed “The End is Nero” tour to Chicago on Saturday, June 21st at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Grab tickets here.

One of the favorite cities (Chicago) to perform in, dating back to the Double Door era —ska and reggae, plus roots and jam band masters —Dispatch returns to Ravinia on Saturday, June 21, touring in support of their new album, Yellow Jacket. They tune up at Summerfest in Milwaukee the evening before. John Butler (with band) and Donavon Frankenreiter open. Tickets are on sale here

It is officially Pride month, and what better way to celebrate than with a weekend of good music? Pre-game for Chicago’s annual Pride Parade with Chicago Pride Fest. The two-day festival features three stages and will include performances by Jesse McCartney, Laura B, Deborah Cox, Snow Wife, Confidence Man, Firebrand, Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, Sasha Love, Beyond the Blonde, and more. The festival kicks off Saturday, June 21st, and wraps up Sunday, June 22nd, on Halsted Street. And it’s free! Get all the details here.
