In only a few short years Spiritbox became one of the most notable bands in metal. They breathe new life into the genre with their blend of metalcore, shoe-gaze, hard rock, and nu metal. They’ve even dipped their toes into hip hop with unexpected collabs with Megan The Stallion. Their second album, Tsunami Sea, cements their respected place in metal. Check out Spiritbox at Aragon Ballroom with Loathe and Dying Wish on Friday, April 25th. Get tickets here.

Jon Anderson is best known as the singer of Yes, but his legacy includes a thriving solo career that’s been going on since the late 70s. Almost 50 years into his career, Anderson continues creating new music, with his latest album True, dropping last year. Anderson and his Band Geeks will perform a mix of solo material and Yes favorites Wednesday, April 23rd  at The Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee, plus the Des Plaines Theater on April 25th and again at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles on April 27th. Tickets are still available for both shows.

What happens when members of the biggest hardcore/emo bands get together? You get L.S. Dunes. Comprised of members from Circa Survive, My Chemical Romance, Thursday, and Coheed and Cambria, the band earned noteworthy status with their debut album, Past Lives. Their second album, Violet, proves the hype was worth it. Catch this supergroup at Outset on Saturday, April 26th. Tickets available here.

If you ask anyone who the Big Four of Metalcore are Bullet For My Valentine is sure to come up. The Welsh rockers are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark album The Poison on β€œThe Poisoned Ascendency Tour.” The outing also sees Trivium celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ascendancy. Prepare for a brutal night when the tour rolls into town on Saturday, April 26th at Aragon Ballroom. You can get tickets here.
