Echo and the Bunnymen

Knocked Loose is one of the most acclaimed metalcore groups of the late 2010s. Their blending of metalcore noise with hardcore punk made their sound brash, rough, and exciting. The band returned this year with their third album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, which they’ll be touring behind. Hear cuts from the latest album along with fan favorites when they perform a sold out show with Loathe, Show Me the Body, and Speed at The Salt Shed on Thursday, May 23rd at 7 PM.

Dance punks LCD Soundsystem are only playing in five cities on their 2024 “Kinda Tour.” And Chicago is lucky enough to be on the list. Led by James Murphy, the band will turn the Aragon Ballroom into their own dance club for four nights over Memorial Day weekend. Shows start May 24th and run through May 27th. You can still get tickets here.

When Echo and the Bunnymen hit the early 1980s music scene, they seemed destined to be an obscure cult band your college friends bragged about. By mid-decade, they were post-wave stars. Now, 46 years after their formation, they are one of the most influential English bands in rock history. The band promises to deliver their best on their “Songs to Learn & Sing Tour,” which comes to the Riviera Theatre on Saturday, May 26th, at 6 PM. Grab tickets here.
