As the 2023 festival season draws to a close and summer winds down, Riot Fest takes its annual shot at pushing the sun up into the sky one last time. The punk-centric gathering of the tribes may have arguably outdone itself this year with its stellar lineup. Day One was greeted with perfect weather and a healthy turnout, all anticipating the Chicago return of Foo Fighters’ headlining set. The undercard was also deliciously enticing with performances from Turnstile, The Breeders, Ani Difranco, The Interrupters, Code Orange, Parliament Funkadelic, The Bobby Lees, Yard Act, Quasi, Pinkshift, The Aquadolls, and Olivia Jean.
