Pitchfork Festival returns to Union Park this weekend with another stacked lineup. Catch performances from The Smile, Perfume Genius, Big Thief, King Krule, JPEGMAFIA, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Bon Iver, illuminati hotties, Killer Mike, Alvvays, and more. Hope you’re ready to get sad because Sad Summer Fest is rolling through Chicago this weekend. This year’s lineup features Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, Motion City Soundtrack, PVRIS, and more. Snoop Dogg may be spending a lot of his time hanging out with new bestie Martha Stewart, but he hasn’t abandoned his hip-hop roots. He’s teaming up with Wiz Khalifa for the High School Reunion Tour with West Coast staples Warren G, Too $hort, and Berner with special guest DJ Drama. Snoop and the crew will bring the tour to Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Friday, July 21. Tickets are available here.

Berwyn’s Cigars & Stripes is hosting animator and cartoonist Shawnimal Saturday, July 22. You’ve seen his collectibles via companies like Kidrobot and Rotofugi, and now you can see his work in person, including the early ‘60s vintage Ford Econoline Modelo Art Truck with music by the Weeds from 1-4 pm.
