Stage Buzz: The Interrupters, August Burns Red, The String Cheese Incident
The String Cheese Incident remains one of America’s most significant independent bands. They’ve been making their own rules for the past 30 years and show no signs of stopping any time soon. Everything from their marketing to the eclectic sound is done on their own terms, and it’s paid off. Though they haven’t released a new album since 2017’s Believe, the band still has a loyal following thanks in part to their live shows. If you want to experience them for yourself, you can catch them at the Riviera Theatre on Friday, April 28 at 7 PM. Get tickets here.
Metalcore outfit August Burns Red is not only celebrating the release of their tenth album, Death Below, but they’re also celebrating 20 years as a band on their latest tour. Expect to hear some new cuts along with lots of classics and fan favorites when they bring the tour to Concord Music Hall on Saturday, April 29 with The Devil Wears Prada and Bleed from Within. Doors open at 6:30 PM. You can still get tickets here.
The Interrupters will bring their high-energy blend of punk rock and ska to the House of Blues in support of their latest album, In the Wild, and they’re bringing some special friends with them. Chuck Ragan and Laura Jane Grace will join the band on Sunday, April 30. Doors open at 5 PM. Tickets are available here. Read our recent cover story with The Interrupters.
