Time spent with Wolf Alice is always time well spent. Over the cycle of three records, the band has honed their skills to become one of the preeminent live bands out there doing it right now. The London quartet (expanded to a quintet on this tour) are currently taking a well deserved victory lap through North America behind the success of their third release Blue Weekend, which was publicly untethered back in 2021. The band touched down at the Vic Theatre earlier this week and proceeded to ebulliently eviscerate everything in their path. Surprising no one, all eyes were firmly planted on lead singer Ellie Rowsell, whose vocal prowess and magnetic stage presence is, in large part, what has help to fuel the band’s success. And that’s no small feat, considering the other band members were right there with her, meeting every scream and whisper with perfectly executed musical punctuation.
