There were capes, which can only mean that My Morning Jacket has returned. Frontman Jim James donned his signature said garment multiple times during the quintet’s epic set at Huntington Bank Pavilion Saturday.
The Louisville band plowed through slow burners and over the top rockers during a perfect summer evening on the shores of Mother Michigan. Currently on tour supporting their 2021 self-titled double album. The career spanning set list put the band’s southern psychedelic brand of rock on full display, resulting in fireworks of the musical kind for the entirety of the evening.
