Alpine Valley, it’s been a while!

Knotfest 2022 arrived in the beautiful hills of East Troy, Wisconsin, this year, featuring Slipknot (now with 23 years under their belt) and crossover hip-hop vets Cypress Hill.

Corey Taylor and company have their live show theatrics down to an art backed by post-industrial windmills as props, buoyed by their groundbreaking stage makeup and, of course, six studio albums of best-selling music.

The setlist was spread out evenly from their two-decade catalog, with “Wait and Bleed” being our high point. Ed Spinelli captured all the life-affirming bombast.
