Stage Buzz: PUP at The Riviera Theatre • Chicago
Just a day after the release of their highly anticipated new album, THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND, Toronto punks PUP will play the Riviera Theatre on Sunday, April 3.
PUP is one of those rare bands who hasn’t released a bad album. If anything, they’ve only gotten better, but if you told them that, they would probably call you a liar. They captivated listeners with their furious, raw energy on their 2013 self-titled debut and quickly became one of rock’s most buzz-worthy bands. Follow-up albums The Dream Is Over (2016) and Morbid Stuff (2019) saw them perfecting their craft and honing their place as one of punk rock’s greatest bands in the modern era.
The band is excited for the release of THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND calling it their “… favorite and most true-to-form album to date. You can literally hear the band unraveling. There is nothing more PUP than a slow and inevitable descent into self-destruction.” Based off what we’ve heard so far, it’s bound to be one of PUP’s strongest records to date.
