Photo Gallery: Riot Fest 2019 Day Three

| September 17, 2019

Day Three in Douglas Park proved as worthy as the first two, and the incredibly healthy and dedicated crowds dodged the morning storms by minutes as the gates opened at Ogden and Sacramento.

Our day started with Oakland’s Ultra Q, and it was all good from there, capturing sets by “house band” Ganser (as seen with Riot Mike on WGN’s Morning News) plus Save Ferris, Skating Polly, our Fest crush The Beaches, Ride, Less Than Jake, our cover feature The B-52’s, The Village People, Against Me!, Patty Smith, Ween, and fest closers with the dagger – Bikini Kill.

At 15, Riot Fest shows no signs of age. It’s still mainly a punk rock festival with no regrets, and now Douglas Park feels like home in all its historic glory. They’ve already announced 2020 fest dates (Sept 11, 12 & 13, 2020) – just don’t ask the Riot Fest twitter mistress who’s playing yet.
