Photo Gallery: The National at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island
For the second time in as many days, the venue on Chicago’s Northerly Island was evacuated for weather related reasons. This in no way seemed to deter those who assembled to see The National this past weekend. Once the radar cleared, the devoted once again packed the seats.
The Brooklyn band is out hitting the boards in support of their recent release I Am Easy To Find, and, like the majority of their back catalogue, the music is dour and moody. Which probably meant those in attendance dismissed the gigantic rainbow that appeared post-storm out over the lake and immediately retreated back into their ” I-wear-black-on-the-outside-cus-black-is-how-I-feel-on-the-inside selves.”
