Chicago Open Air Presents had it’s share of obstacles in 2019 thanks to the wettest May in Chicago history. Both days were hit with severe thunderstorms right before gates opened.

Day One took the bigger hit when promoters had to cancel Vein, Knocked Loose, and Code Orange from the lineup due to the late start. Later in the day Metro announced the canceled bands would perform a late night set at the historic Wrigleyville venue for a mere 10 dollars. Day Two opened a little late because of  continued wet and stormy weather but fortunately no bands lost a performing slot.

Ed Spinelli captured sets by Beartooth, Messugah, Ghost and System of a Down. Plus Day Two sets by Tool, The Cult, Gojira, In This Moment, Fever 333, The Black Dahlia Murder and Alien Weaponry.
