Recap/Gallery: Pitchfork Music Festival Chicago 2017 at Union Park – Day 1
2017 is arguably the year the Pitchfork Music Festival rediscovered its groove. Although the Chicago-based festival has always been adventurous in their approach to the acts it has booked, the past few years have felt a bit “eh.” This year’s line-up made it all that a fading memory.
Curt Baran hit Union Park on the city’s West Side to check out performers as diverse as Day 1 (of the three-day festival) headliners LCD Soundsystem, Priests, Madame Gandhi, Dawn Richard, Hiss Golden Messenger, Vince Staples, Thurston Moore, Frankie Cosmos, Danny Brown, Kamaiyah, Dirty Projectors and Arca & Jesse Kanda. Could make it out this weekend? Live vicariously through our galley. You were there? Check out the images and revisit the bliss!
