101 FM, WKQX hosted its annual Piqniq this past weekend, an all-day concert held at Tinley Park’s Hollywood Casino Amphitheater. IE’s Curt Baran hauled a wicker basket filled with sandwiches, drinks, a red and white checkerboard blanket, sunscreen, and, of course, his camera. Feast on his photos of up-and-comers Beware Of Darkness, Broods, The Strumbellas, Bear Hands and Jr. Jr., who all rocked the second stage early on to kick off the festivities. Then he hustled over to the main stage to catch Lucius, Robert DeLonge, Young The Giant, The Lumineers and the evening’s headliners Garbage.
