Photo Gallery: Taylor Swift @ Soldier Field
The “Swifties” swooped in and lit up Chicago’s lakefront this past weekend. For those not in the know, that is the sobriquet for Taylor Swift fans. Some one hundred thousand plus filled Soldier Field for two evenings, decked out in garb ranging from dinner party elegant to Halloween on Bourbon Street and all stops in between.
Arguably the summer’s biggest tour continues to promote the massively successful 1989 album, which has moved more than 5 million copies on the strength of singles like “Bad Blood,” “Style” and the evening closer “Shake It Off.”
Tay-Tay (we’ve been instructed by her to call her just that. She in turn affectionately and collectively will call us Chi-Town) brought along Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy (riding his own hit wave with “Riptide” and “Mess Is Mine”) and new BFF’s Haim to help lather an audience that was already frothing.
IE photographer Curt Baran jumped in the late ’80s time machine. Here’s his “Love Story.”
