Stage Buzz: The British Invasion Tour 2015
The British Invasion Tour that comes to City Winery Saturday night 3/7, has its origins in 2014, when folk-rockers Chad & Jeremy decided to include other English artists on their 50th Anniversary Tour, celebrating an era when The Beatles first cracked the charts, enabling other British mates to share in their chart success – launching new sounds that changed the face of rock music forever.
The original C & J tour was so popular, the participants decided to continue on through 2015. In addition to Chad & Jeremy, who scored hits like “Summer Song,” the lineup includes Billy J. Kramer (“Little Children”); Peter Asher of Peter & Gordon (“World Without Love”), Mike Pender’s Searchers (“Love Potion Number 9”); Denny Laine from Wings and The Moody Blues (“Go Now”); and Terry Sylvester of The Hollies (“The Air That I Breathe”). The British Invasion Tour will give fans a chance to see these legendary musicians performing individually as well as together in a finale.
The show includes a meet & greet afterward, where audience members can mingle with the musicians and ask them to sign merchandise.
