The Battle Of MySpace

The First Gulf War was hailed as smart-bomb theater, a new age of warfare where buttons could be pressed thousands of miles away to guide an explosive into a thimble on a street corner at night. Battles are fought online. And with the advent of MySpace, so are battles of bands.

While this one still technically plays itself out in real life, RawkNRoll.com is beginning a series of showcases in Chicago and other U.S. cities to promote “On The Money — The Best Unsigned Music On MySpace.” On Saturday, February 10th, five of the 15 bands selected from 200 will battle it out at Kinetic Playground, across the street from the Aragon Ballroom. The lineup will be Master Of No One, Berto Ramon, Ferdinand Fox, On The Front, and Loaded. Get your helmets on.

Visit www.rawknroll.com for future showcases.
