Judging by their press pictures, Go Motion, like most of their dance rock, nu wave peers, are fairly attractive fellas. One can only assume 90-percent of this band’s audience is female — the other 10 percent being loving boyfriends who drudgingly accompany their girlfriends to the show — and guitarist James Luther, keyboardist Justin Runge, drummer David Luther, bassist Luke Mabie, and guitarist/vocalist Albert Kurniawan, have no trouble meeting girls post show.

But be careful ladies — better bring protection. We ain’t talkin’ contraceptives either. A loaded .45 is more like it. Kill The Love, Go Motion’s full-length debut, is all about, well, killing the love — literally. An angry, jealous boyfriend who kills his girlfriend is the story that slithers through this self-released album’s 11 songs. Go Motion, who hail from Omaha, Nebraska of all places, keep the murder weapon hidden under their jackets on much of the album, though, giving their bloody climax an upbeat slant thanks to an abundance of peppy beats and slinky guitar riffs, not to mention Kurniawan’s hypnotic voice.
