Bedroom Walls
All Good Dreamers Pass This Way
(Baria)

This West Coast pop band is neither West Coast nor pop: discuss.

Drifting through the amalgamated pop art that is All Good Dreamers Pass This Way, it’s easy to get lost in the association of breezy ambience with de facto Left Coast gesticulations. “Do The Buildings And Cops Make You Smile,” in particular, cozies up in an ethereal drive-in under a star-born sky, but seems incapable of making contact with take-me-away seaside melodies. Like a dream you can’t quite put together the morning after, Los Angeles’ Bedroom Walls feed on vivid spots of color, but fail to leave enough around to string any sensible pattern together. “Kathy In Her Bedroom,” a lazy summer underdog, encapsulates their potential, but has no one to walk it home.
