3 Friends Memorial
Metro, Chicago
Saturday, January 14, 2006

Family and friends of Chicago musicians Michael Dahlquist, John Glick, and Doug Meis have put together this memorial/benefit and add some closure to their senseless deaths.

Back in July, Dahlquist, Glick, and Meis were sitting at a stoplight in their car on lunchbreak from Niles-based Shure Inc., where they worked. In a flash, a suicidal motorist traveling in excess of 70 m.p.h. slammed into them leaving no survivors, ironically, but the suicide. All three men were valued members of the Chicago rock scene as members of Exo, The Dials, The Returnables, Silkworm, and The Negligents.

As the members of their friends in Bleary wrote on a postcard advertising the event, “If you can, please join us in remembering their lives, and in saying goodbye.”

Exo, The Dials, The Returnables, and The Negligents will perform. Anyone interested in learning more should visit www.3friends.org.
