Vicious Rumors, Haunt, and Intranced
Reggies
Chicago
March 19, 2026
The old school portion of the night comes from the 80’s Bay Area outfit, Vicious Rumors. Led by founding guitarist Geoff Thorpe, they are still churning out the power chords like it’s 1986. VR has been carrying the heavy metal banner since the release of Soldiers of the Night way back in 1985. Last year’s The Devil’s Asylum album continues their own brand of power metal.
Bringing the new school of traditional heavy metal part of the show, two up-and-comers from Southern California are Fresno’s Haunt, the brainchild of singer/guitarist Trevor William Church, who has released no less than nine albums in the last 8 years, which includes last year’s album Ignite.
The second part of this So-Cal Metal attack is Intranced, which features former Holy Grail singer James-Paul Luna. Having made their Chicago debut at last year’s Reggies’ Legions of Metal, Intranced returns with its own form of neoclassical metal infused with its supercharged melodies courtesy of their unsung guitar hero, Fili Bibiano.
Opening up the evening’s festivities with some semi-local flavor comes in the form of Indianapolis’s Sacred Leather, who have their own version of 80’s hard-driving metal.
Once these four bands are done ripping it up, no fan of metal will likely leave Reggies unfulfilled.
