State Champs

Pop punk staples State Champs are celebrating ten years of their 2015 album, Around the World and Back, with a series of special headlining shows in select cities. And lucky for us, Chicago is one of the stops. Rock out to classics like “Losing Myself,” “Shape Up,” and “Back and Forth” when the band plays Salt Shed with special guests Real Friends, Harrison Gordon, and Driveways. It all goes down Friday, January 9th. Get your tickets here.

The legendary Bill Murray is known for his work in iconic movies, such as Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day. What you may not know is he’s a bluesman. When he’s not on the big screen, Murray is rocking out to classic rock covers with his buddies Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, along with Jimmy Vivino, collectively known as Bill and His Blood Brothers. Murray and crew will show off their chops during a two-night stint at Thalia Hall on Friday, January 9th, and Saturday, January 10th. Grab tickets here.

We should be so lucky to exist in the same timeline as the incredible Mavis Staples. Even at 86, the Chicago singer continues to stun crowds with her divine singing. This time, she’s teaming up with Nathaniel Rateliff for an unforgettable show at the Chicago Theater this Saturday, January 10th. Tickets available here.
