Twenty One Pilots’ audience has grown exponentially with each album they’ve dropped. However, witnessing an absolutely packed audience assembled at Tinley Park’s outdoor venue was still a jarring experience.
The faithful, dressed in clothing representing all eras of the Columbus duo’s albums, gathered in the pavilion and on the lawn to shower praise on their favorite sons. The band took the stage to support their 2025 album, Breach, and their stop in the southwest suburbs of Chicago did not disappoint their fans. They meticulously performed over two dozen songs, including several that have become rock station and streaming staples (“Stressed Out,” “Ride,” “Heavy Dirty Soul,” and “Heathens”), as well as movie soundtracks. The band’s performance was accompanied by an impressive array of apocalyptic sci-fi lighting and lasers, creating an otherworldly atmosphere reminiscent of a science fiction film.
Ultimately, it was the music that captivated the masses, even amidst the extraordinary visual spectacle.
