Anyone who claims rock is dead hasn’t heard the fury and fire of rock trio The Warning. Featuring sisters Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Velez, the outfit knows how to rock out with their blazing riffs, heavy-hitting attitude, and all-out sonic assault. Ever since the release of his breakthrough single “Take Me to Church,” singer/songwriter Hozier has been on an upward trajectory. His recent album, Unreal Unearth, garnered widespread critical acclaim and praise, solidifying his buzzworthy status. One of the pioneers of the California metal movement on the Sunset Strip in the 1980s, L.A. Guns, arrives at Arcada Theatre this Friday, July 25. Touring in support of their latest album, Leopard Skin, despite line-up changes, they’re still going strong, powered by their storied co-founder Tracii Guns. Expect to hear classic tracks (“Ballad of Jayne” and “Sex Action”) plus some of their best (“Taste It”) from the new album. Poison’s Rikki Rocket (with Rocket Mafia) opens.
