Stage Buzz: Guster, The String Cheese Incident, Marty Friedman

Marty Friedman, best known for his work with thrash icons Megadeth, is a guitar wizard. His improvisation and fusion of Eastern and Western music with elements of prog rock and thrash will leave you in awe. Guster’s “We Also Have Eras Tour” isn’t your typical anniversary outing. Celebrating 30 years together, what started as a tongue-in-cheek nod to Taylor Swift’s monstrous tour turned into a unique experience chronicling the band’s history from their 1994 debut album to their most recent record, Ooh La La. Their story is told through a series of skits, acting, costume changes, and, of course, numerous songs. Guster will bring this unique experience to the Riviera Theatre this Friday, January 31stat 8:30 PM. You can still get tickets here.

The String Cheese Incident has been laying down intricate jam sessions for the past three decades. Starting as a bluegrass band, their sound has evolved, combining elements of electronica, jazz, funk, Latin, prog rock, and reggae for a more eclectic sound.
