A Day To Remember

A Day to Remember
is still embracing change and shaking things up 21 years into their longstanding career. Their latest album, You’re Welcome, marked significant sonic trading in their metalcore roots for a pop-rock, post-hardcore sound. Their wide musical range keeps fans on their toes, so expect to hear a mixed bag when they bring their “Least Anticipated Album Tour” to Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island this Thursday, July 25, at 6:30 PM. Special guests include The Story So Far, Four Year Strong, and Scowl. Get tickets here.

The Pretenders are one of those legendary bands who are blasé about their cool factor. Led by the tough-as-nails Chrissie Hynde, the band’s impressive repertoire includes hit single “Message of Love,” “Middle of the Road,” “Brass in Pocket,” “Don’t Get Me Wrong,” and “2000 Miles.” Expect to hear fan favorites along with cuts from their latest album, Relentless, during their Chicago Theatre show on Friday, July 26 at 8:30 PM. Tickets are available here.

Indie darlings Vampire Weekend returned this year with, Only God Was Above Us, one of the most anticipated albums of 2024. Rather than trying to recreate the success of their early records, they opted for innovation, as this record shows. Thanks to their jangly sound and pop rhythms, songs like “Father of the Bride” and “Capricorn” will be in the same league as “Oxford Comma” and “A-Punk.” Hear their latest and greatest during their show at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island this Friday, July 26, at 7 PM. You can still find tickets here.
