Chicago five-piece Wilmette is returning to its hometown to help its friends Ghoul For a Goblin celebrate the release of its debut album, You Know You’ll Still Find Me There. Bottom Bracket and Supercorp join as support. The party starts on Friday, February 23, at Cobra Lounge at 7 PM. It’s gonna be a night of great music, so if you don’t want to miss out, get tickets here.

The past year has been a wild ride for Jon Batiste. Though most were introduced to him on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he served as bandleader and musical director, the prolific musician is now a household name thanks to his critically acclaimed album World Music Radio. Known for their passionate and lively performances, Batiste will bring his unforgettable live show to The Riviera Theatre this Saturday, February 24, at 8 PM. You can still get tickets here.

You can’t think of the 90s nu-metal scene without thinking about Static-X. Formed in 1994, the industrial metal outfit rose to fame with their 1999 debut Wisconsin Death Trip. Over the course of the next decade, they would go on to release five more albums and sell over three million albums worldwide. Though frontman Wayne Static tragically passed away in 2014, the rest of the band soldiers on in his honor. You can Static-X live with Sevendust at Radius this Saturday, February 24, at 6:15 PM. Tickets are available here.

Acclaimed Talking Heads tribute Big Suit comes to Freedom Hall in Park Forest on Saturday, February 24, with a stage show modeled after the Stop Making Sense (captured in the 1984 film) stage show era of the band; charismatic lead singer Jason Krause leads the group on an energetic night of music from the groundbreaking, eclectic New York new wave band.

Thirty years since the release of their self-titled album, Porno For Pyros made a triumphant return with new music and a full-blown reunion. But it proved short-lived as the band, led by Perry Farrell, prepares to say goodbye again. The “Horns, Thorns En Halos” tour marks what’s supposed to be the band’s final outing. The tour will make its Chicago stop at the Salt Shed on Monday, February 26, at 8 PM. If you want to party with Farrell and co one last time, be sure to grab tickets here.
