My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult

When you first hear singer/songwriter LP, you never forget it. They have a soulful yet haunting voice that’s truly mesmerizing. Starting with breakout single 2017’s “Lost On You,” they have garnered critical acclaim with albums like Lost on You and Churches. Hear this enchanting singer for yourself when they perform at The Salt Shed with VÉRITÉ on Friday, November 3rd at 8 PM. Get tickets here.

Chicago’s own My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult is one of the pioneers of the industrial scene. Since their formation in 1987, the band, fronted by Groovie Mann, has spun tales of the wicked, the kinky, and the sleazy. Though they helped develop the industrial genre, the band has consistently changed their sound, experimenting with everything from disco to soul to punk rock. Hear their wide musical range when they play a sold-out show at Bottom Lounge on Saturday, November 4th, at 7:30 PM.

Swedish garage rockers The Hives made their grand return earlier this year, closing their 11-year gap between albums with their new record, The Death Randy Fitzsimmons. Now that they’re back, they’re ready to save rock n roll once again with their high-energy, frenetic rock anthems. The Hives will play their latest and greatest during their sold-out show at Bottom Lounge this Sunday, November 5th.

Heavy Chicago Fest returns Saturday, November 4; North Carolina Southern-fried sludge metal veterans Corrosion Of Conformity will be headlining, preceded by California space rockers Nebula and Milwaukee’s The Crosses—featuring die Kreuzen singer Dan Kubinski for an “all die Kreuzen” set. Local bands Speedfreak and Dust Biters will open the show. The following day, Sunday, November 5, concludes the festival as the legendary DRI will grace the stage with a headlining set celebrating 40 years of Crossover, preceded by grindcore legends Repulsion (the band’s only show of 2023) and Chicago’s “murder metal” maestros Macabre. Death Metal, Embryonic Autopsy, and The Suffering will open the show. Get your tickets here.
