Heavy rain in Chicago and its suburbs delayed Riot Fest’s opening for 2 hours on its final day bringing back memories of “Riot Fest weather” from its days when the festival was held in Humboldt Park and early years in Douglass Park. Once the sun returned, the faithful were treated to excellent sets from California post-wave supergroup AFI, plus The Dresden Dolls, L.S. Dunes, The Black Angels, The Bronx, Cults, and headliner dark wave/goth legends, The Cure. Until next year (location TBD), bring your boots.
