Pink Floyd will never get back together. Between Roger Waters’s increasingly disturbing political commentary (Ukrainian hitlist, really?) while on his solo tour and Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets focusing on their early years, there’s no shortage of the band’s music being performed live by some of its original members.
Powered by bassist Guy Pratt, guitarists Gary Kemp (of Spandau Ballet fame) plus Lee Harris, keyboard player Dom Beken, the legendary timekeeper, took to Milwaukee’s historic Riverside Theater for the Echoes Tour, was split between two acts.
Throughout the night, Mason and his all-star band wowed with true-to-form renditions of artful experiments, including “One Of These Days,” “Obscured By Clouds,” and “Echoes”.
Mason, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, and his backers’ instrumental talents came forward on the epic “Echoes, which paved the way for an encore of “See Emily Play,” “A Saucerful Of Secrets,” and “Bike,” all of which was the icing on the cake of an exceptional evening of classic Floyd at a great venue.
