Soon-to-be Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee Judas Priest brought their 50th Anniversary tour to the Genesee Theatre with special guest Queensrÿche in tow.  The Priest pounded out a rock-solid setlist that, pretty much as expected, covered their 50-year career. Though guitarist Glenn Tipton was not present at the show, it was his 75th Birthday, so Rob Halford had the crowd sing “Happy Birthday” so he could witness it on social media. Guitarist Richie Faulkner was present and sounded better than ever. His stage clothes not hiding his recent battle scar is the perfect way to celebrate still being here and doing what he loves best. The night’s star, of course, was the groundbreaking vocalist/screamer Rob Halford. He energized their set and, like all commanding frontpeople, “left the stage with the crowd begging for more.”
