On paper, The Wild Hearts Tour presented itself as one of the summer’s most intriguing live music events. Under an almost full moon on another perfect August evening, it revealed itself to be more. With a line-up consisting of Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten, and Julien Baker, the songwriting and performances were of high caliber. All have arguably released their finest albums to date and delivered spirited performances of songs from those recordings. The Salt Shed, the city’s newest and most hyped outdoor venue (with merit), is booking several high-profile (outdoor) shows as they work toward both indoor and outdoor shows with all the bells and whistles in 2023.
