It seemed like Saturday at Lollapalooza was custom-made for lovers of loud guitars. It was also arguably one of the rare moments when the bands on the undercard seemed to outplay the headliner, J. Cole. The impossibly great back-to-back performances from Idles and Turnstile certainly proved that although hip-hop might be the bigger draw, rock music isn’t going away quietly. The two bands were absolute highlights of the entire weekend. But, this is Lolla, so there’s something for everyone to discover or gush over. Day Three provided those opportunities in the form of performances from Crawlers, Charm La’Donna, Calder Allen, Pom Pom Squad, Meet Me @ The Alter, Griff, Dashboard Confessional, Wallows, COIN, Hinds, and Gayle.
