Wet Leg (Heather Chambers and Rhian Teasdale) are currently living their best lives. The quintet from the music mecca that is the Isle of Wight (insert sarcasm here) released the single “Chaise Longue” last year year and has racked up enormous numbers of viral plays and views in its wake.

Their self-titled debut is scheduled for an early April release, and the band has already jump-started it with their first U.S. tour. The thing is though, their popularity has continued to grow, which required a majority of their shows to be moved to larger venues. Last night’s Chicago show was originally booked for the intimate confines of the Empty Bottle. A quick sell-out moved that show to the nearly twice as large Thalia Hall. Impressive. Not a bad way for a scrum of twenty-somethings from the middle of the English Channel to kick off their 2022.
