The virtual edition of SXSW starts this week. This year’s musical lineup includes Iceage, Black Country New Road, A Place to Bury Strangers, No Joy, Sorry, Braids, Squid, Holy Fuck, Holy Wave, Penelope Isles, The Chats, Chubby, and the Gang, Altin Gun, Phony Ppl, Kinky, Hachiku, Just Mustard, Nadia Reid, Otoboke Beaver, Golden Dawn Arkestra, Purple Pilgrims, Indigo Sparke, TENGGER, and more. Sir Mix-a-Lot and Rachel Flotard will host “Band Together Washington: Celebrating the Legacy of Live Music in Washington,” a benefit concert to help keep Washington’s independent venues alive. Featuring archival concert footage from Pearl Jam, it promises to be a night celebrating the best music Washington has to offer. The show streams Thursday, March 18th at 9:30 PM. The show is free to watch, but donations to Keep Music Alive are encouraged.
