Photo Gallery: Riot Fest 2019 Day Two

Day 2 of the 2019 edition of Riot Fest arrived and the prevailing vibe of the day was Metal! Earth scorchers Slayer eviscerated Douglas Park during what is sure to be their final Chicago performance before calling it a career. In fact, the Riot stage could have been re-christened All Metal – All The Time at the festival’s halfway point.

The floorboards were graced by not only the aforementioned headliners, but also Testament, Anthrax, Gwar, and The Hu. Additional choices around the park included (deep breath here) Masked Intruder, Monarchy Over Monday, Turnstile, Cherry Glazerr, Lando Chill, Cleopatrick, Surfer Blood, Prof, Elder Brother, The Selecter, The Damned Things, The Story So Far, The Struts, Chicago’s own Rise Against and Bloc Party. Um…damn!!!! I.E. tried in vain to be everywhere at once. Unfortunately, we did not succeed.
