Photo Gallery: Riot Fest 2018 – Day Two

| September 18, 2018

Day Two of Riot Fest was greeted by arguably the best weather the festival has ever seen. It was also the hardest hitting line-up of the weekend. Attendees were baptized by sunshine, cool breezes and sets from Beach Bunny, Total Chaos, Badflower, The Frights, Piebald, Lower Class Brats, Health, Mannequin Pussy, Gary Numan, Reignwolf, Twin Peaks, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, The Voidz and the legendary Jerry Lee Lewis. As for the end of the evening, I was reminded of what the Grateful Dead’s Jerry Garcia once said. “Nobody wants to follow Otis,” referring to Otis Redding and the fact that once you saw him, everyone else will only disappoint. Well, the punk rock version of that is “no one wants to follow the Jesus Lizard.” After the sheer brutality of their performance, actual headliner Beck felt like an insincere afterthought.
