Photo Gallery: The Head and the Heart and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Nightsweats at Huntington Bank Pavilion

| June 4, 2018

Summer is here and the time is right for music being played outdoors. Which is precisely what happened when The Head and the Heart and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Nightsweats kicked off their co-headlining tour at Huntington Bank Pavilion on the shores of Lake Michigan. For The Head and the Heart, this trek is more or less a victory lap, celebrating the continued success of their still-showing-legs 2016 release Signs of Light.

As for Nathaniel Ratliff, he’s just now revving up the hype machine for his recently released third album Tearing at the Seams, which looks destined to build on the breakout success of its successor, the 2015 self-titled debut. The evening was the perfect kickoff to what promises to be a busy concert season in The City by the Lake, with seemingly everyone who’s ever picked up a guitar looking to hit the road. The 70-degree temps and light lake breezes were the perfect prologue to a season filled with the promise of sound.
